Drift Supercup 2010 - Time for Redemption
Team CTS Drift is pleased to announce it will kick of the 2010 competition calendar by attending the annual 'Drift Supercup' to be held at Mallala Motorsports park.
During the off season, the team have been working away with even more mechanical updates aimed to improve reliability to an even higher level than before. The long list includes but is not limited to fuel system, suspension upgrades and a general rebuild to help keep the teams iconic 180SX at the head of the field.
The now annual Mallala Drift Supercup to be held on the 17th and 18th of April will be the first opportunity for the team to compete for the season after the demise of the Drift Australia series due to the world financial crisis. The team has not lost its commitment to drift though and will be attending a number of events throughout the year.
The team recently tested the new package to ensure peak performance for the coming event. Simon 'The Pitbull' Podlewski was able to get to terms in the new beast, with the 180SX turning 60+ laps in an effort to make sure the team, car and driver are all in tip top shape come race day.
Simon 'The Pitbull' Podlewski "This time last year
everything was new to me, the team, the car, the tyres so after a year of adjusting and then adding the new improvements to the car, im feeling pretty good going into the event. I know this time i won't be making any rookie mistakes like i did last year that's for sure."
Team Owner Bill Bromley " I am rapt with the way the team has knuckled down and worked on the car, all the guys have done a fantastic job and put in a lot of effort to make it all happen while going through some disappointments along the way. The team and car are ready for battle and we just can't wait to get back out on track again. I have to say a big thank you to our major sponsor Toyo Tires for continuing their support in 2010. I also have to thank, Rhemac Performance Engines, Cross Keys Paint and Panel, Castrol, Craig's Nizencool Fabrications and Commercial Truck Sales for their continued support."
