In anticipation of the impending Drift Australia round at Oran Park in September, Team CTS Drift took the opportunity to get in some testing with new driver Simon “The Pitbull” Podlewski never having driven the track in anger before.
Simon Podlewski: “Its all about getting the car and myself dialled in to the tricky Oran Park layout before the Drift Nationals in September. Bill likes to be prepared and with the limited track time this year it was a no brainer to get up here and runs some laps. I started out just getting a feel for the track and built up all day to some full runs in the afternoon. We did about 40 laps during the day and didn’t crash the car so i think you could say it was a successful test.”
Team Principle Bill Bromley: “ I’m very happy with the way the day progressed. Simon and the team had the car dialled in very quickly so we could get some quality laps in. I think this will help Simon and the boys a lot coming into the Drift Nationals at the end of September. Simon has impressed me a lot with the way he goes about driving and setting up the car, he is always looking to improve his situation and constantly delivers quality feed back after every session. I think after this test session we could confidently say we are ready for the Nationals.
The Drift Australia “Drift Nationals” is being held at Oran Park on September 20th, make sure you get down for one of the last times you will see high quality drift at the historic Oran Park layout. For more information check out www.driftaustralia.com.au
