Team CTS Drift accepted the invitation to attend the biggest Drag Racing event of the year to promote this weekend’s Drift Australia Nationals at Oran Park.
With a full house in attendance the team were parked up on Top Fuel row in the pits, giving a prime location to help further the promotion of Drifting and Drift Australia to a new audience.
Simon “The Pitbull” Podlewski was also given the opportunity to show an appreciative crowd what drift is like on the small WSID burnout pad. “This is awesome, there are so many people here today and surprisingly they have shown massive interest in the team and drift in general. It was great to chat to the fans, sign some autographs and mingle with people, on a competition weekend its so busy you just don’t get the time to do that as much as we would like. I also think it worked pretty well with plenty of people showing interest in next weekend’s Drift Nationals."
Team Principle Bill Bromley “ It was a great couple of days, we were well received by the drag racing audience which was fantastic, Simon’s hand hurts from signing so many autographs and i think we should be able to get a good crowd for the Drift Nationals. Its good to see the guys at DA have stepped it up promoting the sport to a wider audience. Now all we have to do is check the nuts and bolts on the car and we will be ready for DA.”
The Drift Australia, “Drift Nationals” will be held this coming weekend at Oran Park Raceway Sunday 20 Spetember. For more information head to www.driftaustralia.com.au
